Publishing on the Web - A Stanford Workshop for Magazine, Book, Association and Corporate Publishing Professionals

Nov. 11-14, 2007, Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, Monterey, Calif.

Registration deadline: Oct 8, 2007

Publishing has undergone a radical transformation. What was once a print-driven business with digital add-ons has shifted irrevocably - and the Web site is now at the center of the business model. You feel it in the increased pressure to produce a site that is cutting-edge in your market, and you know you have to both deepen and sharpen your site fast.

Stanford's Publishing on the Web Workshop is designed for Web publishing professionals who are building out content-rich sites to take advantage of today's fast-changing digital landscape. This intense 3-day Workshop will help you update your site with new technologies, improve design and navigation, sharpen content, streamline your publishing processes, keep you out of legal trouble, and help you rethink your business strategies.

It will also give you the opportunity to sit in front of a computer and watch as your site is test-driven and critiqued by others, and to analyze and critique others' sites. You'll come back to the office with pages of notes on how to upgrade, redesign and improve your site.

Created by the developers of the Stanford Professional Publishing Course, the Workshop is aimed at magazine, book, association and corporate communications professionals who make high-level decisions on the mission, content, design and overall direction of their sites. It is not intended for technical staff.

Consider spending a few days with us in Monterey. Invest your time where it will make the most difference--in re-imagining your Web strategies.
